Macrame is a trendy craft among women. This handicraft uses a cord as supporting material for this craft. Various results can be applied, there are accessories, wall hangings, pillowcases, mirror decorations, and so on. Most of these handicrafts usually have feathers as decoration. However, many are confused, how to make the hair smooth, straight, and upright so that the end result of the macrame becomes even more attractive.

There are 5 unique ways to get a smoother, tidier, and more beautiful feathers finish, of course.

  • Select a smooth cord

When making this craft, provide good quality cotton yarn so that when making feathers you only need a comb to separate the strands that tie the cord.

  •   Use a hair straightener

Some people try to create soft, natural-looking hair using hair straighteners. Usually, the application is the same as when we are going to iron our hair. However, this is not recommended if you use an expensive straightener for your hair and use it for the Macrame project because it might damage your straightener.

  •  Using an iron This one needs slightly long hair.

The application also requires thin paper or cloth to apply the macrame results. So the hair is not directly in contact with the iron. However, there are some people who try it firsthand and it also has good results.

  •  Using Hairspray

This can also be applied only the end result of the macrame will be more stiffer. This is suitable for a feather macrame wall decoration.

  • Universal glue

Feather needs to be washed first with water then comb it half dry. Put the glue measure in a container mixed with a little water. Then apply the glue to the glue strands. Wait a few moments for it to dry. This solution can be applied to projects that do require rigid results.
